My name is Ellenor, I am a designer residing in Sydney and canberra,  specialising in creating impactful graphic materials that builds and enhance a brand identity. With a focus on the sporting industry and developing dynamic visual material that resonate with athletes, teams and fans. Specific material I want to design in the future would be apparel, accessories, event signage and displays and advertising materials for sporting events and teams.
Career Readiness
The Hard Skills I have developed throughout my degree, would be the process of design development, from early ideation through the use of moodboards, sketching ideas, and then applying these drafts
to Adobe software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). I gained skills of understanding the application
of typography and layout to create visually engaging designs. I have developed my skills of visual branding, to create a cohesive visual identity, specifically the design of logos and navigating brand guidelines. I have also gained skill in the knowledge of packaging design specifically in manufacturing and knowledge of material. In this I have skills in prototyping and gathering insight from research to influence my designs. I have gained familiarity with the development of web design and the knowledge of the process of making apparel which will provide me with insight into the design process in my future career.
The Soft Skills I have developed throughout my degree, would be the skill of communication, through my ability to effectively communicate with peers but also clients. Skills of collaboration and adaptability have also been developed to ensure that the final design aligns with the vision of the project, through being open and engaged with feedback. This stems to the development of my ability to problem solve and find innovative ways to finalise a design solution. Some soft skills I need to future develop would be my attention to detail which comes to identifying inconsistencies in my design, developing this skill will help elevate my quality of work. I need to develop my time management as well, not so much how much time I allocate to do work but work in a way in which I can use time effectively. By emphasising the need to organise my time, as I find myself working on projects for a long period but not having the work to showcase for the time I have spent.
